“Don’t wait for the perfect moment, take the moment and make it perfect.”

As a versatile, bicultural and effective champion, Kathrin oversees Sugarwood’s operations, including the compliance department and our client onboarding process. She has extensive experience in business process management, data architecture and steering complex multinational projects. While working for a Germany-headquartered global financial institution for more than 10 years, she was heavily engaged as senior executive in the business process management (mostly credit-linked & commercial loan products) and innovating the bank’s data architecture, quality management and operational processes. Since 2013, she gained valuable practice in Private Equity. Together with her husband Martin, she frequently commutes between the U.S. and Europe, sharing the passion to spend leisure time on picturesque beach places in South Carolina and Florida.

Kathrin started her career as private banker in 1997. Shortly after successfully ending her apprenticeship in the year 2000, she was promoted and became responsible for the Euro implementation across the regional bank she was working for. While implementing the Euro with large success in all branches and the bank’s headquarter, she continued her career subsequently working for Germany’s second-largest Landesbank, BayernLB. There Kathrin oversaw the bank’s dataware house and its related business processes. She worked primarily with all kinds of credit-linked products, loans, money market deposits and credit derivatives incl. swaps which involved a deep cross-border, international interaction. In 2013, Kathrin became senior manager of a Swiss private equity company, where she oversees the portfolio relations. She holds a faculty degree in business administration from Technical University of Munich.
