As analytical and focused financial services executive and Certified Financial Planner™ with extensive experience in wealth management solutions for High Net Worth Private Clients, Todd has an impressive track record acting for both private banks and wealth management boutiques. He is the Managing Partner appointed to oversee Sugarwood Financial’s Carolinas practice covering U.S. clients as well as Mittelstand executives and their families as part of the German-speaking Client Group (GSCG).
Todd, who has his family roots in the German state of Schleswig-Holstein, is active in the German-American communities of Charlotte and the Greenville / Spartanburg area. He is a former Staff Sergeant (honorable discharge) of the United States Marine Corps and served in the Persian Gulf War to liberate Kuwait City. In his leisure time, Todd enjoys spending time with his family – whether it is hiking in the mountains or just relaxing by the pool.
Todd started his career in 1999 as Senior Wealth Manager with a HNWI boutique in Boca Raton/FL where he developed a ‘book of business’ with affluent and HWNI clients. Afterwards, he expanded the High Net Worth client’s business as Vice President working for Key Private Bank in Palm Beach/FL. In 2004, he relocated to Charlotte/North Carolina and oversaw the wealth management business as Investment Officer for First Horizon Bank. Until recently, Todd steered as founding member, Managing Partner and Senior Investment Advisor the success of Aspire Wealth Management, a boutique investment manager headquartered in Cornelius/NC. In this role, he developed and executed complex Personal Wealth Management Plans designed specifically to each HNWI’s financial situation and constructed tailor-made advanced portfolio solutions. He is Bachelor of Science (University of South Carolina in Columbia), started in 2014 his MBA in Finance at University of Massachusetts in Amherst and holds a Certificate in Advanced Client Strategies in Wealth Management (University of Memphis–Fogle School of Business).
